Over the last 25 years Heather A. Leslie, PhD has established an international track record and reputation in the field of sustainability, plastics, chemicals, environment and health within the international contract research domain, as a senior scientist and course designer/lecturer at Dutch universities (UvA, UU, WUR and VU).

In 2024 she established Heather Leslie Projects, a scientific consultancy which brings science into real world practice through strategically advising organisations on today’s pressing plastic and chemical pollution issues that plague the environment and human health.

She combines technical knowledge, practical thinking and customer focus with a transdisciplinary attitude and an interest in building a prosperous, just world.

Dr. Leslie’s ongoing collaborations with academic scientists and as a reviewer keeps her on top of new developments. She appears regularly in the international media, is a keynote speaker and writer in both English and Dutch.
